Simple and Colourful!

As per usual I was having such a hard time deciding what I wanted to do on my nails but I've found that when this happens I tend try a few different things. This time I started with matte black nails but they chipped after a day, that's what doing a lab in uni will do to you though! Ha! Then I decided to paint my nails red and add a red glitter and then a silver glitter and I really liked how they looked and sparkled but I smudged them like the silly goose I am! So I then thought that I'd get my act together and do another simple, not very time consuming design. And this is what I decided to do. And I know that the colours aren't very Wintry but I love it so I'm not really fussed! I think these turned out really quite well especially considering that I had no idea of what I wanted to do when I started!

Simple Stripes!

I decided to do something simple, easy and not very time consuming. The colour isn't really showing up properly here, it is actually a deep kind of raspberry pink!

Something Different for Christmas!?

I know this isn't my usual type of post but I really want to start doing my nails in all sorts of glorious Christmassy designs but I've been told that I'm mad for wanting to do that so soon! Which I don't see how this is, I get my immense love for Christmas from my big sister who has an infectious obsession with the season! and my family really have a great excuse with the second name we have! (It's Yuile, like Yule! I love it!) Anyway, I will start my Christmas designs closer to the time (probably next week! haha!) but until then I thought I'd branch out slightly by showing the colours that I love using at Christmas! These all really remind me of the best time of the year!
I wear glitter every season, I have a problem when people tell me that certain designs, colours or types of nail polish should be reserved for only one time of year and so I don't do that! but I do agree that glitters and more shimmery nail polishes look really pretty and lovely in Winter!

I will list the names and where I got these if I'm asked to do so, but unfortunately some were from gift sets and may not be available any more, and the turquoise glitter at the top of the post was a present from my sister  from when she went on holiday to Mexico! Sorry guys! However I'm sure you'll be able to find similar or even the same polishes this Christmas in similar sets that get released by the same company!

Even More Leopard Print!!

The top photo is what I did on my friends nails last night! I think the colours she chose are so Christmasy! This has made me so excited for Christmas so I decided to draw up some things that I wanted to do on my nails during Christmas time! I CAN'T WAIT!!
The other photos are my own nails! This past wee while I've been really liking leopard print and I'm so, so happy that I actually tried it and it worked out! The base, painted on by a friend, is Models Own glitter in Juicy Jules, which just happens to be one of my favourite glitters! I love the colourful holographic pieces that run through it! But I was worried that because the glitter is quite chunky and so leaves a bumpy texture to my nails which would mean that the leopard print would run together. So I had to make sure that the lines were thin or far away enough so that they didn't run together! Because when I practised this, the lines running together was such a big problem! The bottom photo is intentionally blurry so I could show just how pretty this glitter is!
